Curry Drain
About the project

The Curry Drain is a drainage system that serves Hidalgo County Precinct No. 4. The project is approximately 2.61 miles long commencing at Val Verde Road (FM 1423) and heading west to Alamo Road (FM 907). The Curry Drain serves as the outfall for drainage waters from Doolittle Road east to HCDD1 South Main Drain I. It serves several rural developments bounded by Doolittle Road to the west, Curve Road to the south, Val Verde (FM 1423) to the east and SH 107 to the north. HCDD1 Engineering prepared plans to shift the ditch away from the Curve Road and created a bench system that will facilitate maintenance and at the same time create more volume in the system. HCDD1 performed all the improvements to the ditch through in-house forces.
